In ACC you have the opportunity to create your own vehicle paintwork and add your own team. This can be done in-game or outside.
Server Administrator from Multiplayer Servers can assign vehicle liveries to drivers or teams via Server Configuration / entrylist.json.
Livery editing in Game
You can get to the editor as follows:
- click on Multiplayer or Single Player
- select a racing series in the Single Player menu and then go to the team selection
- 2018 = GT3 2018
- 2019 = all GT3 2018/2019, Lamborghini Huracan ST und Porsche Cup
- GT Challenge = all GT3 2018/2019, Lamborghini Huracan ST und Porsche Cup
- GT4 = GT4 Serie Cars
- in Multiplayer choose a racing class ( Primary, GT3, GT4, ST or Cup ) and then go to the team selection
If you want to edit your skin outside of the game, go to:
- C:\Users\***username***\Documents\Assetto Corsa Competizione\Customs\Cars
Options
- Race Number
- Team Name
- Nationality
- Banner & Sponsors
- Livery-Template
- Body and Tire colored pick
Extern: Skin Mod
A CarSkin consists of two parts:
- Documents\Assetto Corsa Competizione\Customs\Cars\
- Documents\Assetto Corsa Competizione\Customs\Lieveries\myTeam\
Preparations for your own livery
- create a team in the game as described above ( ↑Livery editing in Game ), now go to main menu
- got to Documents\Assetto Corsa Competizione\Customs\Cars, there you will find a file that is named as follows 42-201016-095902.json ( Start Number-YYMMDD-time )
- change the file name, it should be clear which vehicle it is and which team ( Mercedes_AMG_GT3_myTeam_21.json )
- got to Documents\Assetto Corsa Competizione\Customs\Liveries and create a Folder with same name
- write the name in your .json file on the line: "customSkinName": "Mercedes_AMG_GT3_myTeam_21", - save.
- go back to your team in ACC, click edit and save immediately afterwards - sponsors.json and decals.json will be created in your Folder
Create a Livery ( under construction )
- Now you can look around for templates for the vehicles, I found the following:
- you use these to draw your design and export it to your folder as a PNG file format
- In contrast to AC, the AO is not exported because ACC calculates all shadows in real time
